As 2014 draws to an end I would like to take a moment and thank each and every client of mine. Weather you were a first time client or a repeat client I am blessed and grateful that you chose Jan Nohling Photography.  Thank you! A few of my favorite images from session thruout the year. 

Carly’s session was held on a beautiful fall day! (after having to get rescheduled 2 time due to the weather) We started at Muirhead’s Farmhouse in rural Plato Center, traveled to the gorgeous landscaped grounds at Runde’s Landscape and finished up at the studio in Burlington. Here is a little bit about Carly!

3 things people would be surprised to learn about you
1) I’ve been playing hockey for 8 years.
2) I named my dog after Lizzie Mcguire (Disney tv star)
3) my age because I look much younger than I am.

1) my dog

Never failed a class, never had my ears pierced, I’ve never worn more than mascara.

- Slow walkers,

Honestly I would be so worried about dying that I would waste all my time worrying about!

Reece didn’t have a lot of smiles for me – she was too interested in looking at everything in the studio! But she is a doll! Did family pictures with mom & dad, pictures with her cousin Ava and with her grandma. She couldn’t be any cuter!

Sophie’s session was done indoors at the studio. Gorgeous young lady! Love her clothing choices and the variety of images we got!

Catching up on my blogging – I know it is LONG past Christmas but just wanted to share this adorable family!

This was a special session for me because Thomas is my nephew!(busy year for me I have 3 nephews graduating this year!) Seriously CANNOT believe he is a senior! Great, great session at Muirhead’s Farmhouse and then out to the studio in Burlington. Can he be any more handsome? Here is some trivia about him:

And a special location for him – we went back to a house he lived in until 4th grade. He used to sit on this rock and wait for the bus, read etc. He said he remembers the rock being MUCH bigger lol!

Patrick’s family is a repeat client. I did his sister Lauren’s senior pictures a couple years ago. I LOVE repeat clients!

Patrick is a linebacker on the South Elgin Varsity Football Team that went 3-4 in conference and 3-6 overall this year. The above images were done in studio and then “composited” to look like game day at the stadium! LOVE them!

Mr. Groom, my AP Literature teacher and academic bowl coach.  He’s taught me a lot and given me some great laughs in class and at academic bowl.

What are your after graduation plans?

Going to Eastern Illinois University for accounting with the intention of being a forensic accountant.

Ian’s session was held at Muirhead’s Farm in rural Plato Center and studio session in Burlington.  The weather couldn’t decide if it was going to rain or not – it was a light rain which was fine, but then started raining harder so we decided we would go to the studio but by the time we got to the cars to leave it had stopped so then we just continued on with the outdoor part and boy am I glad we did.  We got a wide variety for Ian’s gallery of both outdoor and indoor shots.  Thanks Ian for being so flexible!

Brandon’s session was held at Muirhead’s Farmhouse in rural Plato Center and then we headed into the studio for some more shots.  His family is another repeat client – did his older brothers senior pictures also!  Love catching up with what previous graduates are up to and making more memories for the current graduates! Love Brandon’s smile and how comfortable he was in front of the camera (made my job very easy!)   Here is some trivia about Brandon that I bet you didn’t know!
